The curriculum of this school is programmed for students to be cultivated and
mature as well as for them to enter the university of their choice. This school
is organized into three semesters which run from April to July, September to December,
and January to March. In the first and second terms, students have two examinations
- the mid-term and final exams - and in the third, only the final exam. Between
the semesters we have a 6-week summer vacation, a 3-week winter vacation, and
a 3-week spring vacation. Every lesson is given to each homeroom according to
the weekly timetable. On weekdays students have six periods and on Saturday four
periods, so students have 34 periods a week. Each period lasts fifty minutes.
Year 11 students must choose a Humanities course or a Science course. And moreover,
Year 12 students must choose a course for private universities or a course for
national universities because the subjects required for the entrance examinations
are different. Some elective subjects are provided for Year 12 students to satisfy
their interests and accomplish their future plans, so they have 26-34 lessons
a week. |
